Do you ever feel like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed because your day is just not going how you had planned?? Me too!! Some days I wake up happy, but as my day goes on, my stress goes up, and I want to give up. I hate those kinds of days, so if you do too, keep reading to learn how I make my days better.
When I wake up, I make my bed. I never made my bed in highschool, unless my mom made me, but I get why she would tell me to now. If you make your bed, then you have already accomplished something that day already. It makes you feel like you have your life together, and you’re ready to take on the challenges the day has for you. Next, wash your face or take a shower. I’m not a big morning shower person, but if I wash my face or put toner on, it wakes me up and makes me feel more energized. After that, get some water or coffee or even both!! Some caffeine or hydration can make you happy. I love drinking cold water in the morning; it just makes me feel good and healthy. Make something for breakfast, even if it’s putting a pop tart on a plate, this will make you feel more organized. Since you have your drink and breakfast, do a devotion. Start your day out with Jesus, and you will automatically feel 10x better!!! Next, have some more "me time" doing something you want, even if it’s tik tok or writing in your planner, do something that makes you happy. If you have homework or something you need to do, don’t wait until the last minute! This will take away stress, and then you can enjoy your night with your favorite tv show or movie!! Trust me, these things may seem silly, but they help me!!
If it’s the middle of the day, and you need to press the restart button, take ten deep breaths and pray; this helps me more than words can describe!! Text a friend, tell them you hope they have a great day, or send them a Bible Verse, because they might need some encouraging words!! Next time you’re having a bad day, try at least one of these and let me know if it helped you!! I hope it does!! Always remember not to stress over things you can not control and do not procrastinate!! I hope your days become a little brighter.
