"God is within her, she will not fall."- Psalms 46:5

confidence is key...

Confidence... something most of us don’t have, but many of us want. Maybe you are filled with confidence, but if you are like me you are not. I am constantly worrying about what my body looks like, what I need to wear or not to wear, or how I need to act. It’s hard, and most girls ( & boys) struggle with it. When I was younger I never thought for one second that I was not good enough, and I never compared myself to other girls. I was young, and I was happy. So, what changed? Why did growing up make my confidence go down? Maybe it was mean girls, social media, or even “friends”. Girls are so hard on themselves, and they are even harder on other girls. “Why is she wearing that?!” “She does not even look cute!” “She needs to workout.” These are things other girls have said about me. Even though they don’t hurt my feelings anymore I will never forget it. When I am trying on a swimsuit or an outfit the first thing that comes to my mind is “I need to go on a diet!” BUT WHY?!?! I am happier than I ever been, and I am healthy,,, why can’t I deal with gaining a few pounds??? When I fix my hair and makeup, I think about what people have said, and down goes my confidence. It’s a hard world filled with hate, violence, and judgment, so why do girls have to add on to that. GIRLS SUPPORT OTHER GIRLS!!! Lift them up on a bad day, tell them they are beautiful, and tell them they can run the world. Be kind!!! Don’t be jealous of what another girl has (I know it’s easier said than done, I am still working on it myself), but instead be happy for her because when you succeed in life maybe she will return the favor. Be a support system to other! Give girls the confidence they have but they just can’t find. Most importantly forgive those who have hurt or said something about you!! I know IT’S HARD!!! You’re thinking “she was so rude to me, why would I ever forgive her?” Well, how can you be forgiving if you can’t forgive? Pray for them, and pray for yourself. Trust me it helps! Be confident and show confidence to others!! Being confident doesn’t mean you aren’t humbled, it means that you are happy with yourself!! It’s okay to know you are rocking your brand new outfit, be your own hype man, but don’t be afraid to tell someone else that they are rocking their outfit too. Spread confidence & make the world a little better. Always remember a little confidence never hurt anyone & you’re beautiful!!!!
